Our water heaters are manufactured by the Backer Electric Company Ltd., using Titanium tube supplied by Titanium Products. “Backersafe” heaters are manufactured to the latest issue of BSEN 60335-2-73 to ensure that the immersion heater is isolated from the mains supply should the primary thermostat fail with the contacts closed. “Backersafe” heaters have a standard low cost thermostat with an additional re-set button thermostat in series with the rod thermostat: should the primary thermostat fail, a low cost replacement can be fitted and the protected thermostat reset.
